Kindle eBook Steals for June 29th, 2015

Good morning folks! Another hot and sweaty day ahead of us here in DFW. I know those of you in the PNW are scorching right now. I was just talking to my Grandmother who lives in Idaho yesterday about it. She said that Boise hit a high of 110 yesterday.. WHAT?!?!?! That’s insane for that area this time of year. Honestly, that’s insane for there PERIOD! That’s just way too hot. That’s just too hot to do much of anything. I sure hope it doesn’t kill her garden with all that heat. Every year my grandparents swear they’re not doing a garden this year and every year they end up doing one.  They just can’t let go of all that good homegrown food. I can’t blame them. On that note, it’s time to check Amazon.com for today’s deals.

Daily Dose for June 18th, 2015

Good morning folks. It’s been a rainy couple of days with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill hitting us here in the DFW metro area.  It’s been a busy few days around here. Yesterday I had a job interview. I’m really hoping I get it. I have a second interview for it on Monday, so y’all cross your fingers for me. On other news, I’m really looking forward to getting into our new apartment next month. A little more room and a playground for the kids, for only a little more money. Can’t beat that. It also has a pool that I can’t wait to check out. Anyway, time to check out the books over at Amazon.com.

Daily Dose for June 9th, 2015

Good morning! It’s another beautiful, yet hot, day here in the DFW metro area.  It’s going to get up to 96 today so definitely another hot one. I can see 100+ temps in our near future. Being that this is Texas, I’m wondering how well a fall garden will go. I’m betting that will be a far better bet than trying to get things to grow in the full heat of the summer. It’s just too darn hot for all that. I’m absolutely itching at the chance to get over to the new apartment and plan out my balcony garden oasis. On that note, it’s time to check Amazon.com to see what they have for us today.

My Recommendations for April 15th, 2015

Good morning folks! Sorry about the unscheduled break there, but after dealing with all the other sick people in the house, guess who’s turn it was? Yep, mine.  On a plus note, I’m now the proud owner of a California King sized bed. That means when the kids crawl in bed with me in the middle of the night I actually get a little bit of the bed. YAY! Today is supposed to be somewhat sunny and even get up to almost 80. Tomorrow, though, starts 3 days of thunderstorms and rain. Texas is sooooo green this year.  I really hope it keeps up and we don’t have as many drought issues.  On that note, time to get some inspiration from Amazon.com.

Recommendations for April 11th, 2015

Good morning folks! It’s supposed to be a fairly good day weather wise. Getting up to 77 today, even with cloudy skies. This is literally the calm before the storm. Starting tomorrow it’s supposed to rain for 3 days straight. Gotta love Texas in Spring right? The yard outside is already a beautiful emerald green, as well as all the sides of the road. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much green in Texas in my life. Gives me a bit of hope that I might actually be able to master this container garden thing. On that note, it’s time to check out Amazon.com to see what’s in store for us today.

My Recommendations for April 8th, 2015

Good morning folks! Looks like it could be a stormy day today. There’s even a possibility that it could end up as a severe weather day. Both today and tomorrow are gonna be pretty icky from what I’ve seen. Hopefully things won’t get too crazy. I love a good rainstorm, it’s the damaging winds I’m not a fan of. Luckily as an apartment dweller, if anything gets damaged I’m covered, but that’s about the only perk so far.  On that note, time to check Amazon.com for some new finds.

My Recommendations for March 20th, 2015

Good morning folks! It’s supposed to be a fairly overcast day today, only getting up to 64. I know, I know, some of you are sitting there thinking “Did she just say ONLY????” Yup, sure did. This is Texas and it’s late March. Only 64 is about right. Anywho, so now that half of you are ready to come at me with flame throwers, I’d like to thank you all for allowing me a day off yesterday. I don’t get it often and I truly appreciate it when I do. I’d also like to thank you all for your kind words on the Facebook page. It’s appreciated beyond words. Ok now that I’ve taken us on an emotional roller coaster, let’s get on to the freebies from Amazon.com.
